The Fate of Nate

Tonight, from 8 PM until 9 PM, there will be speculation amongst the fans that Nathan Scott, a long time character of the show One Tree Hill, could die.

The death of Nathan Scott after nine seasons of this show would be the most tragic incident to ever occur on the show. There has been many other significant deaths on the show, such as Keith Scott and Quentin Fields, but nothing would compare to the death of Nate.

Nathan was always a basketball superstar, dominating high school and winning championships at Maryland. After a back injury he had to rehab for a couple of years, but he eventually was signed to the Charlotte Bobcats.

When he had to retire due to injury, he took up being an agent.Nate went on a business trip to Europe to scout and talk to european players. This trip was not shown during an episode, but when he was returning from the trip he got kidnapped by a group of men.

He was being held hostage in what looks like a large basement with his hands tied up behind a chair. He was miraculously able to break free, but he got recaptured.Now, nothing they show indicate that he will be killed, but in the next episode preview, his wife, Haley, is shown getting a call and then going to a hospital to check a dead body.

Nobody knows what will happen.

Nathan Scott cannot die. While he shared the main role of the show with his half-brother Lucas Scott, he has been the stars show, and most liked character the past few seasons.

His journey to finally reach his dream of the NBA is an inspiration for all, and made people become a fan of the Nathan character.

But all of this could end tonight. If the psychic kidnappers kill Nathan, it will affect the legacy of One Tree Hill forever. Tonight, we will find out the fate of Nate.

Taylor Swift is Perfection

Taylor Swift is just simply dominating life right now. She is perfect.

Taylor Allison Swift was born on December 13, 1989 in the town of Reading, Pennsylvania. Taylor was never popular in school as a kid, and the bullying and problems she faced are expressed in her songwriting.

In 2006, Taylor released her first single, Tim McGraw, and then released her first album, Taylor Swift, later that year. Since this, Taylor Swift has dominated the country music industry, and the music industry in general.

Taylor has made two more albums since she put out Taylor Swift: Fearless and Speak Now.Fearless was the first album to reach one million sales in 2009 and ended up being the top selling album of that year.

Her big hit from Fearless was You Belong With Me, which won numerous awards and was one of the best selling records of the year.

It is not easy to do what Taylor Swift does. At the age of 22, she has already made 3 albums, all which have been excellent. She is a top of the line country singer and her popularity is incredible.

Popular for her songs about breakups, it seems as if she has had a tough time with relationships in her childhood. How stupid do those guys look now? Who wouldn’t want to date the most successful pop-star of the past 5 years?

Taylor Swift just makes it look easy. Recently at the Grammy Awards, she won best country record for her song “Mean” from the album “Speak Now”. Her performance of this song at the award show was nothing short of flawless, and she looked really good doing it.

All in all, Taylor Swift is an absolute dime. Her phenomenal singing talent mixed with her innocent girl personality and her great looks combine into one superb person. She is perfection at its finest.

Best Rivalry in Sports?

The Duke/UNC rivalry is the best rivalry in all of sports, college or professional.

The Duke/UNC rivalry started in 1920, when the two colleges met for the first time and UNC won the game 36-25. Since then, the two teams have met 232 more times, for a total of 233 games against each other.

What makes this rivalry so great is that these two colleges are literally down the street from each other. The good ol Battle of Tobacco road as the campuses are separated by this one street.

UNC leads the all time series 131-102, but Duke has currently won the previous two meets. Despite all their regular season games, the two teams have never met in the NCAA Tournament.

UNC has one more NCAA Tournament championship than Duke, but Duke has won three more ACC Tournaments.

When it comes down to producing the athletes with the most success at the professional level, there is no doubt advantage UNC. Michael Jordan, Vince Carter, Rasheed Wallace, Bob McAdoo, Sam Perkins, and James Worthy are all UNC alumni.

And then Duke has arguably the greatest coach of any sport all time. Coach Mike Krzyzewski, or Coach K, is the leader in college basketball history with 920 wins now.

This rivalry has everything that sports fans want, great players, great coaches, great crowds, great games, and some bad blood.

Now why is this the best rivalry in sports? Let’s look at some of the other ones…

Red Sox/Yankees – Baseball has gotten extremely boring. I would rather watch the Kings play the Jazz.

Celtics/Lakers – The history of this rivalry is great, but is has slowed down a bit lately. They don’t play in exciting games every year, which is crucial in a rivalry

Michigan/Ohio State- Probably the best college football rivalry, but nothing compared to Duke/UNC

Ravens/Steelers – Arguably the best rivalry in the NFL today, but it does not have the same history that DUKE/UNC have.

So all this means that  the Duke/UNC rivalry is the best in sports. It has everything that sports fans want. You either like Duke, and dislike UNC, or you like UNC, and dislike Duke. There is no in between for this matchup. Separated by Tobacco Road, these two teams have dominated the ACC since forever.

That may be the biggest component of this rivalry. Both of these teams are always at the top of their conference. NC State had their good years back in the day. Wake Forest had some relevant years with Chris Paul. But Duke and UNC are always the ones on top.

Just a couple nights ago, Duke and UNC got ready to battle it out in Chapel Hill. UNC was better than Duke for the first 38 minutes of the game, but Duke dominated the last two minutes. Austin Rivers hit a buzzer beater three over 7 foot Tyler Zeller for the win.
